Resumo
A autora coteja o caso clínico do Homem dos Ratos e as compulsões contemporâneas, problematizando as
questões do supereu e do gozo. Sugere, então, como viés para contemplar as novas formas de expressão
do mal-estar, uma revisão permanente, por parte do analista, de seu compromisso ético com o fazer
psicanalítico, que se transforma em criação singular frente à pluralidade da demanda.

Abstract
The author compares the clinical report The Rats Man with the contemporary compulsions, discussing the
subjects of the superego and the enjoyment. She suggests a permanent revision of the psychoanalyst
ethical commitment with the psychoanalytical performance as a way of contemplating the new expression
means of the discontent, which turns into a singular creation face to the plurality of the demand.

Resumo
As autoras se propõem focalizar a comunicação entre paciente e analista, aquela que se dá para além do
relato racional de fatos e da formulação verbal de sentimentos, e cria o clima emocional da transferência.
Clima que pode ser captado através dos sentimentos despertados no analista pelo paciente, ou seja, pelo
entendimento de sua contratransferência, que se forja sob a influência do uso do mecanismo mental
conhecido como identificação projetiva. A partir de fragmentos do trabalho de Freud, o Homem dos
Ratos, apresentam exemplos deste mecanismo mental e seu possível efeito no analista.

Abstract
The authors propose to bring into focus the communication between pacient and analist, the one that
occurs beyong the racional account of facts and verbal formulation on feelings, and creates the emotional
atmosphere of transference, an atmosphere that can be grasped through the feelings aroused in the analist
by the pacient. That is to say, by the understanding of his countertransference, that is forged under the
influence of the mental mecanism called projective identification. From fragments of Freud´s paper, The
ratman, they quote instances of that mental mecanism and its possible efect over the analist.

destino e como ele manifesta sua presença e importância no caso do Homem dos Ratos.

Abstract
The objective of this paper is to reflect upon the “trieb” circuit in obsessional neurosis and, following
Freud guidelines, to attempt to understand what determines this fate and how it manifests its presence and

Resumo:
Depois de considerar brevemente o que os filósofos, poetas e místicos disseram sobre o inconsciente antes
de Freud, o autor, na primeira parte do artigo, trabalha o conceito metapsicológico do Inconsciente,
relacionando-o com o recalque originário (primal repression) e tenta, na segunda parte, recuperar as
características específicas do Trieb freudiano, como um conceito distinto do Instinto e um conceito
limítrofe entre o somático e o psíquico.

Abstract:
Following a brief examination of what philosophers, poets and mystics antedating Freud had to say about
the unconscious, the first section of this article explores the unconscious as a metapsychological concept,
linking it to primal repression. The second section aims to retrace the characteristics of the Freudian Trieb
as a concept distinct from instinct and at the boundary between the somatic and the psychic.

O autor pretende abordar o conceito de pulsão, suas origens e funções. Focaliza a base econômica da
teoria Freudiana da mente humana, exposta no modelo de aparelho psíquico descrito no texto de Freud
“Projeto para uma Psicologia Científica”. Discute, também, a importância da energia pulsional no
processo de gênese do Id, do Ego e do Superego. Sugere a grande influência dos fatores econômicos
durante toda a obra de Freud.

Abstract
The author explores the concept of instinct (trieb), its origins and functions. He emphasizes the economic
grounds of the Freudian theory of the human mind, according to the model described in Freud’s text
“Project for a Scientific Psychology”. The author also focuses on the importance of the instinctual energy
in the genesis process of the Id, the Ego, and Superego and points out how strong an influence the
economic factors have throughout the work or Freud.

AND THEIR LIFE AND DEATH GAMES

Resumo
O livro A Majestade do Xingu , de Moacyr Scliar, conta a vida de Noel Nutels, médico sanitarista
relatada por um outro personagem fictício, anônimo, também judeu e russo, de idade próxima que teria
vindo no mesmo navio da Rússia para o Brasil. Os dois personagens se contrastam, sendo Noel a
representação da pulsão de vida enquanto o outro representa a luta entre forças provenientes da pulsão de
vida e da pulsão de morte.
As imposições da realidade impedem a plena realização das pulsões. O humor, a fantasia e a
criação literária se apresentam para Freud e no texto do livro como formas substituas de satisfação. Na
modernidade essa impossibilidade de satisfação pulsional ganha novas nuances, sendo o mal-estar
acrescido da angústia do homem moderno diante da perda das certezas anteriormente fornecidas pela
sociedade tradicional.
O texto literário torna-se o lugar onde o homem fala e busca se compreender atingindo assim a
subjetivação. O herói é substituído pelo homem comum que, falando de sua solidão, fala paradoxalmente
em nome de outros homens, adquirindo o romance um caráter documental e social.
O texto literário estabelece uma corrente narrativa pressupondo sua leitura como uma versão.
Como na relação psicanalítica temos assim uma atitude de questionamento e discriminação que permite o
jogo de intersubjetividades e a transformação.

Abstract
The book A Majestade do Xingu, by Moacyr Sciliar, tells the life of Noel Nutels, medical doctor,
hygienist. The story is narrated by a legendary character, who is an anonymous Russian and Jewish, just
like Noel. He is about the same age and came from Russia to Brazil in the same
ship. The two characters are opposite one another. Noel is the representation of the life
drive while the other represents the struggle between the life drive and the death drive.
The impositions of the reality do not allow the full accomplishment of the drives. The humor, the fantasy,
and the literary creation are presented to Freud, and in the book text, as replacements for satisfaction. In
modernity this impossibility of drive satisfaction receive new tones. The modern man deals with the
losses of the certainties provided by the traditional society, struggling with disconfort and anxiety .
The text becomes the place where men talks and search an understanding, reaching subjectivity. The hero
is replaced by the common man, talking about his solitude, paradoxically on behalf of other men, turning
the romance into a social document.
The literary text establishes a narrative chain prevailing its reading to be a version. As in the
psychoanalytic encounter, we assume a position of questioning and discrimination that allows the game of
intersubjectivities and transformation.

O trabalho apresenta as articulações da intersubjetividade com o processo de transmissão psíquica
geracional. São referentes para desenvolver o tema conceitos freudianos desenvolvidos em diversos textos
como Totem e Tabú (1913) e Introdução ao Narcisismo (1914) entre outros. A autora assinala os
desenvolvimentos de Kaes articulados com os de Aulagnier tais como o contrato narcisista, as funções
fóricas materna visando destacar o vínculo intersubjetivo como fundamento da vida psíquica..
Uma vinheta clínica resumida de um atendimento de T.F.A.(terapia familiar analítica) ilustra diversos
aspectos vinculados ao tema, em particular o delírio em herança, e as consequencias das falhas ou
estructuras de apoio da vida pulsional.
São incluídas breves referências aos trabalhos de Abraham e Torok sobre cripta e fantasma enquanto
estes conceitos condensam importantes patologías da transmissão psíquica e intersubjetividade.

Abstract
This paper presents the relationship between intersubjectivity and the psychic Generational transmission
principle. Freudian concepts deal with the theme in Various works as Totem and Taboo (1913) and
Introduction to Narcissism(1914), among others, are taken as references for this study and conclusions.
The author highlights the Kaes and Aulagnier works as relating toe the narcissist contract, the maternal
foric functions with the scope of emphasizing the intersubjetivity link as fundamental of psychic life.
A clinical vignette consisting of a condensed clinical report of services of analytical Family Therapy
illustrates factually various aspects related with the theme, particulary the heritage delirium, and the
consequences of failures or structures of support to pulsional life as consequences of failures or the
structures of support of pulsional life.
Brief references are made to the Abraham e Torok works about crypt and ghost, where these concepts
condense important pathologies of psych transmission and intersubjetivity.

COMO PENSAR O CONCEITO DE PULSÃO HOJE?
(HOW TO THINK ABOUT DRIVE CONCEPT TODAY?)

O artigo analisa a problemática pulsional a partir da discussão das três características atribuídas por Freud
ao conceito de pulsão: convencional, básico e obscuro. Situando a psicanálise na encruzilhada do processo
de crise e transformação paradigmática em curso, o autor analisa inicialmente a dependência da primeira
teoria das pulsões – e de toda a primeira síntese metapsicológica- com relação aos pressupostos do
Paradigma da modernidade, passando posteriormente a discutir a ruptura operada por Freud com esses
paradigmas na elaboração da segunda teoria pulsional e da última síntese metapsicológica no seu
conjunto. Afirmando a existência não apenas de duas teorias das pulsões mas também de objetos
conceituais diferentes em cada uma de elas, o autor discute os impasses da primeira teoria, analisando
posteriormente as características fundamentais da segunda. Enfatizando a solidariedade existente entre as
transformações operadas por Freud na última síntese metapsicológica e em todos os registros da
metapsicologia, aborda a significação do primado da afetividade postulada por Freud na última parte de
sua obra, sublinhando a íntima relação existente entre este conceito e as transformações operadas por
Freud em todos os registros da metapsicologia.

Abstract
The article analyses the drive question starting from the discussion of the three characteristics attributed
by Freud to the drive concept: conventional, basic and obscure. Situating psychoanalysis on the crossroads
of the process of crisis and paradigmatic transformation in progress, the author initially analyses the
dependency of the first drive theory – and of the whole first metapsychological synthesis – in relationship
with the presupposition of the Paradigm of modernity, continuing subsequently to discuss the break
operated by Freud with these paradigms and the working out of the second drive theory and the last
metapsychological synthesis on the whole. Affirming the existence not only of two drive theories, but also
of different conceptual objects in each one of them, the author discusses the impasses of the first theory,
analyzing subsequently the fundamental characteristics of the second. Emphasizing the existing solidarity
between the transformations realized by Freud in the last metapsychological synthesis and in all records of
metapsychology, the author tackles the significance of the primacy of affectivity postulated by Freud in
the last part of his work, stressing the intimate relationship existing between this concept and the
transformations operated by Freud in all records of metapsychology.

Resumo
Neste trabalho a autora discute duas categorias de pacientes que diferem quanto ao impacto que têm no
analista. Esta distinção foi inspirada pelo trabalho de Pontalis. De um lado existem pacientes que criam
um espaço vazio no consultório. A experiência é de aridez, de ausência de memória, podendo provocar no
analista sentimento de exclusão do mundo interno do paciente. No outro extremo existem pacientes que
enchem o consultório. Fundamentalmente, deixam o analista com o sentimento de um excesso de
representações dominando o consultório e de uma excessiva inclusão do analista no mundo interno do
paciente. A autora discute a modernidade teórica do conceito de pulsão para a conceitualização do
impacto que estes pacientes têm no analista, na medida que é um conceito que refere-se aquilo que
encontra-se no limite da representação.

Abstract
In this paper the author discusses two categories of patients which differ in terms of the impact they have
on the analyst. This distinction has been inspired by Pontalis' work. On the one hand there are patients
who create an empty space in the consulting room. The experience is of dryness, a dearth of memory,
which may leave the analyst with a sense of exclusion from the patient's internal world. At the other
extreme there are patients who fill the consulting room. Fundamentally they leave the analyst with
the feeling that an excess of representations dominate the consulting room and that the analyst is overincluded
in the patient's internal world. The author discusses the theoretical modernity of the concept of
pulsion for the conceptualisation of the impact these patients have on the analyst, in that it is a concept
that refers to that which is at the limit of representation.

Resumo: Analisando o aparecimento e a função da pulsão de morte no pensamento freudiano, o autor
desmistifica a oposição Eros/Tanatos, conferindo-lhes um estatuto de princípios opostos do
funcionamento psíquico (princípios de ligação e de desligamento) e reintroduzindo-os no domínio do
sexual. Liberada do biologismo e da metafísica, a pulsão de morte é ressexulizada e a oposição passa a ser
entre pulsões sexuais de vida e de morte. A esta critica segue-se a inscrição desta oposição na
metapsicologia, indicando-se o recalcamento como sua única origem. Em um ultimo desenvolvimento, o
autor indica as vias abertas por esta releitura da oposição pulsões sexuais de vida e pulsões sexuais de
morte para o esclarecimento de uma psicologia dos fenômenos afetivos fundamentais que são o ódio e o
amor, paixões especificamente humanas.

Abstract: Analyzing the emergence and the function of the death instinct in freudian thought, the author
demystifies the opposition Eros/Tanatos, giving them a statute of opposed principles of psychic
functioning (principles of binding and unbiding) and reintroduces them in the sexual domain. Freed from
biologism and from metaphysics, the death instinct is resexualized and the opposition becomes one
between sexual life and death instincts. Following this criticism is the inscription of this opposition in
metapsychology, repression being indicated as its only source. In a last development, the author indicates
the ways opened by this rereading of the opposition sexual life instincts and sexual death instincts for the
explanation of a psychology of the fundamental affective phenomena which are hate and love, passions
specifically human.
